Provide CPR

HLTAID009

TL;DR

This is a nationally accredited HLTAID009 Provide CPR course delivered near Brunswick, Victoria.

Courses are run on a pay-what-you-can-afford basis. For CPR, the cost price is $20 and the suggested price is $30.

Government names are private by default. I only collect the details required for enrolment and certification, and other students will not see them.

There is pre-course work for the blended option. It usually takes around 2–3 hours to complete and will be sent to you after you enrol.

It is ideal to complete the pre-course work before the course, but if that is not possible, please contact me and I can work something out.

Course Details

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

This course applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

It is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council that CPR training is refreshed every 12 months.

Specific licensing or regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the relevant national, state, or territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Further information about this course, including Elements and Performance Criteria, can be found at www.training.gov.au.

Course Registration

To register for this course, please contact me via the contact form on the website. I will let you know when the next course is scheduled and send you a link to register. Alternatively, you can follow me on Instagram to stay up to date with course dates and other news.

During registration, you will be asked to provide your Unique Student Identifier (USI). If you do not already have a USI, you can create one for free at www.usi.gov.au.

The details you provide for enrolment need to match the details recorded on your USI account so that your enrolment can be processed correctly and your Statement of Attainment can be issued.

Privacy and personal information

Your government name is private by default.

Because this is a nationally accredited course, I need to collect the name details that match your USI record so I can complete your enrolment and issue your Statement of Attainment. This is a government requirement for accredited training.

I will be able to see this information for enrolment and administration purposes, but nobody else in the class will be able to see it.

During enrolment, you will be asked for your first name, last name, gender, and USI. These details need to match what is recorded on your USI account. You can also add a preferred name after your account has been created.

On the attendance sheet, you will need to show ID and sign in, but the name you write there can be your chosen name and/or your government name. Your government name is not required on the attendance sheet.

The certificate emailed after the course will use your government name, because it must match your USI record.

If your USI still has an old name on it, I recommend updating your USI before the course so that your certificate is issued in your current government name.

If you want to keep your government name private from other students, this is easily done and is the default.

This information will not be shared or used for any purpose other than enrolment, administration, and issuing your Statement of Attainment.
